A social awareness campaign I did in College for The National Museum of African American History and Culture. I discovered the illustrations on the Library of Congress Flickr page, they were beautiful and graphic. I created a campaign that would take these items of slavery and pair them with poetic phrases and use the bright colors associated with pop art. I geared them to a younger audience which is why I used poetic phrases and bright colors.

The business problem
Why it was a problem, to begin with
Social awareness campaigns bring audiences to a cause they may not be familiar with. The bondage apparatus used in slavery after often skipped over in history books and most movies. Americans have a hard time seeing instruments that were used on African Americans during slavery. These illustrations are typically glossed over in museums or only appear as an overlay in a documentary

What would you change looking back?
The campaign is strong,it is difficult to look at one thing that I would change. However,, I would give more context of what it is that people are looking at. I would accomplish this by having a footnote to let the viewer know what they are looking at.
